Abox — Privacy Policy

Abox ("the App") is developed by Aworld. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Data We Collect

1.1 Account Data (Optional)

If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive:

• Display name and email address from your Google or Apple account
• A unique user ID assigned by the authentication provider

This data is used to identify you on leaderboards, enable cloud saves, and sync progress across devices. You can use the App without signing in — all core gameplay works offline.

1.2 Gameplay Data

When you are signed in, we store:

• Leaderboard scores: Level completion times, move counts, and the character used
• Cloud save data: Your game progress (levels completed, stars earned, settings) encrypted and stored in Google Cloud Firestore
• Supporter status: Whether you have purchased the Supporter Pack

This data is associated with your user ID and is necessary to provide leaderboard and cloud save functionality.

1.3 Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data:

• App opens, screen views, and session duration
• Level completion events (which levels are completed, move counts, times)
• Daily challenge participation

This data is not linked to your identity. It helps us understand which levels are too hard or too easy and improve the game. You cannot opt out of analytics separately, but uninstalling the App stops all collection.

1.4 Crash Reports

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports when the App encounters an error. Crash reports include:

• Device model, OS version, and app version
• Stack traces and error messages
• No personally identifiable information

Crash reports help us fix bugs and improve stability.

1.5 Local Data

Game progress, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the Cloud Save feature.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect location data
• We do not collect contacts, photos, or files
• We do not use advertising SDKs or ad networks
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing
• We do not use tracking or fingerprinting technologies

4. Data Retention

• Account and leaderboard data is retained as long as your account exists
• Cloud saves are retained as long as your account exists
• Analytics data is retained for 14 months (Firebase default), then automatically deleted
• Crash reports are retained for 90 days

5. Your Rights

You can:

• Play without an account: All core gameplay works without signing in
• Delete your cloud data: Sign out in Settings to stop syncing; contact us to request deletion of your server-side data
• Request data export: Contact us to receive a copy of your stored data

6. Children's Privacy

Abox does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The App does not require an account and contains no ads, social features, or user-generated content. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

7. In-App Purchases

The App offers a single, optional $1.99 Supporter Pack (non-consumable). Purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not collect or store payment information.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
